Larimar, also known as the "Atlantis Stone," "Dolphin Stone," or "Blue Pectolite," is a rare blue variety of pectolite found exclusively in the Dominican Republic. It is revered in crystal healing for its soothing blue and white patterns that resemble sunlight dancing beneath Caribbean waters. The Origin of "Larimar": In 1974, Miguel Méndez, a Santo Domingo jeweller, found the stone, but realised it came from the mountains, not the sea. He named it by combining the first three letters of his daughter's name, Larissa, and the Spanish word for sea, Mar.
